1. Service Description

SmartField provides a client-side encryption Web Component and server-side SDK that enables websites to encrypt user input at the keystroke level. The service includes the SmartField JavaScript component, server-side decryption SDKs, and optional dashboard features.

2. Your Responsibilities

You are responsible for securing your encryption keys generated by the SmartField SDK.
You are responsible for compliance with applicable laws (GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS) in your jurisdiction.
You must not use SmartField for illegal purposes or to facilitate illegal data collection.
You are responsible for backing up your encryption keys. SmartField does not store copies.

3. Plans & Billing

Starter (Free): Up to 3 SmartField components per page. "Protected by SmartField" badge required.
Pro ($49/month): Unlimited components, no badge, priority support.
Enterprise ($299/month): Unlimited domains, self-hosted option, compliance reports, SLA.

Billing is monthly. You may cancel at any time. Upon cancellation, you revert to the Starter plan. Encryption continues to function. we never disable security.

4. Security Disclaimer

SmartField provides encryption and access control at the browser level. While we implement industry-standard encryption (AES-256-GCM, RSA-2048), no security measure is 100% guaranteed. SmartField is one layer of a comprehensive security strategy.

5. Data Handling

SmartField does not process, store, or transmit your users' data. All encryption and decryption occurs between the user's browser and your server. See our Privacy Policy for details.

6. Intellectual Property

The SmartField component, SDK, and documentation are proprietary. You receive a license to use them according to your plan. You may not reverse-engineer, redistribute, or resell SmartField.

7. Limitation of Liability

SmartField is provided "as is." We are not liable for data breaches caused by factors outside our control, including but not limited to compromised servers, leaked encryption keys, or vulnerabilities in your application code.

8. Termination

We may terminate accounts that violate these terms. Upon termination, you lose access to Pro/Enterprise features but the SmartField component continues to function at the Starter level.

9. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be notified via email 30 days in advance.
